Chalazion Attack !!

Again, a problem that keep annoying me almost once a year since 12 years old...

Chalazion! Yes, itis attacking me again!

It's not a normal sty that develope at your eyelid externally..

But, internally! and will become very chronic, stay there for few weeks, keep growing, giving u swollen, sore, red eyelid,

A chalazion (stye) is a small lump in the eyelid caused by obstruction of an oil producing or meibomian gland. Chalazia may occur in the upper or lower lids, causing redness, swelling and soreness in some cases.

a)Raised, swollen bump on the upper or lower eye lid

c)May be tender and sore

It's so sore...

All because of my Sambal fried rice last week. JM made a bottle of Msian Sambal and put in fridge, so I took 2 spoons to add in my fried rice.. It was really spicy and yummy... then the next day, problem started ! Started with sore eyelid, and I knew it must be chalazion coming to visit me again ! After few years of "quiet" period... Again, it "check in" at same eye, same spot, just didnt tell me the "check out" day yet..

It's been a week already, everyday asked by colleagues how's your eye today ? Haiz... still enlarging... Hahah, hopefully didnt scared away my patients, (ya, oltho my eyelid like this, my vision is still OK, dun worry).. Yesterday my colleagues couldn't tahan anymore, grabbed me and wanna scan my eye to see wat is in there... and this is the image she got.. full of abcess, pus, measured 17mm x 8mm.

still waiting for it to turn yellow so I can squeeze out the pus...
